The "Hawaiian Lei" orchid grows naturally in New Guinea and Australia. This evergreen orchid can be categorized into one of two types: Phalaenopsis type, whose flowers resemble a Phalaenopsis orchid flower, and Antelope type, whose flower petals are thin, point straight up, and look like antelope horns. Dendrobiums flower for 6-8 weeks and have the advantage of being able to bloom from old as well as new growths and may bloom more than once a year.

General Orchid Information and Care

Growing instructions - Keep in bright room but no direct sunlight. Water thoroughly once or twice a week. Provide temperatures of 60-90 degrees F. Flowers should last for several months and the plant should rebloom annually if given the proper conditions.
